Sales Manager (f/m/d) in full-time

We are looking for YOU! Support us in the sales of our digital products, bee smart city Premium Accounts and Smart City Management Toolbox, to accelerate the digital urban and rural transformation and help cities and regions become smart and sustainable.



About us:

bee smart city GmbH operates one of the largest global online platforms and communities in the smart city sector and supports municipalities and regions in the development and implementation of their smart city and digitization strategies and assists in the implementation of the associated initiatives and projects. For the marketing of analogue and digital products, bee smart city operates a content hub as a marketing tool in the form of a global (English-language) and local (German-language) smart city information and knowledge portal. Your tasks:

  • Market research and customer demand analysis to optimize sales opportunities as well as to identify trends in the smart city and public sector.

  • Close cooperation with the data analyst to identify new customer potentials in the existing CRM system

  • Sales of the digital product "Premium Accounts" (subscription model), which is part of our freemium model within the global smart city network www.beesmart.city

  • Sales of the SaaS application "Smart City Management Toolbox" (license model) in the public sector

  • Close collaboration with the management to continuously optimize the digital products in a customer-oriented way as well as to accelerate their digital distribution

  • Independent support of existing customers as well as the acquisition of new customers

  • Professional, service-oriented and successful contract negotiations so that both sides are satisfied

  • Participation in the conception of sales and marketing campaigns to strengthen our market position



We are a young, fast-growing company and would like you to quickly take on the Sales Manager's tasks to develop new and advance existing sales activities and strategies for our company. Whether you work from your home office or from our modern offices in Mülheim an der Ruhr doesn't matter to us. We also offer flexible working hours.

Your profile:

  • A successfully completed technical or commercial university degree or extensive sales-related training

  • At least two years of professional experience in digital product sales (subscriptions/memberships, SaaS), ideally in the public sector or in the smart city sector

  • Ability to work in a team as well as a high degree of communication and presentation skills and a convincing appearance

  • Occasional willingness to travel, e.g. trade fair visits (national and international)

  • Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
